Longhua Technology’s gasification unit operation cycle breaks record

Shaanxi Longhua Group Coal Technology Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Longhua Technology) has made a major breakthrough in the field of long-cycle operation of coal gasification equipment. As of May 10, the company's gasification equipment has achieved 321 consecutive days without unplanned shutdowns, of which the No. 1 gasifier has been operating stably for 206 days, setting a new record for the longest operation since trial production in August 2024. At present, the device has entered the annual overhaul stage as planned. 　　Longhua Technology's gasification device adopts the technical combination of "coal-water slurry + membrane water-cooled wall + radiant steam generator" and consists of three gasification furnaces manufactured by Lu'an Chemical Machinery. 　　In order to overcome the common industry problems of long-term stable operation of gasification equipment, Longhua Technology established a special research team to implement systematic management innovation and technology optimization, established a coal quality database, completed the upgrade of process burners, and the accuracy calibration and material upgrade of key equipment such as oxygen flow meters and steam drum regulating valves. They also solved problems such as insufficient negative pressure in the flash evaporation system, vibration of the purge pipeline at the outlet of the scrubber, and abrasion of the black water pipeline. They also overcame technical problems such as coking of the waste boiler and attenuation of steam production. They also implemented a preventive maintenance mode, changing passive repairs to active prevention and control, which reduced the incidence of equipment failures, thereby improving the operational stability and economy of the gasification unit.
