After passing through the secondary sedimentation tank, the COD level of the biochemical effluent drops to around 250; we then add chemicals in the subsequent coagulation tank, and after flocculation and sedimentation, the COD level of the effluent falls below 80.

The composite coagulant independently developed by our company results in a water treatment cost of 3–7 yuan per ton (based on the volume of water discharged from the secondary sedimentation tank); the exact cost needs to be determined through pilot tests.
