On April 3, the joint debugging of the PLC control system for fly ash removal was successful, and the Electrical and Instrumentation Department at Anqing Petrochemical has completed the upgrade and renovation of multiple control systems used in the gasification unit. The three sets of PLC control systems for coal mills, bag dust removal, and fly ash removal, along with one SIS safety instrument system, constitute the core of the automatic control system for the gasification unit. Due to its long period of use, during the planned shutdown for maintenance of this facility, the Instrument Maintenance Center of the Electrical and Instrumentation Department will upgrade the three sets of PLC control systems, as well as the SIS safety instrument system. This renovation is one of the key projects during the maintenance of this gasification unit, and it involves coordinated efforts by multiple departments. To ensure the safe completion of all inspection and renovation tasks, the relevant officials from the Electrical and Instrumentation Department and the Instrument Inspection Center insist on going to the sites in person to conduct inspections and provide supervision, thereby ensuring strict compliance with safety regulations. The renovation involves multiple control systems, with a large number of instrument control points. The staff of DCS Shift 2 at the Instrument Maintenance Center, who are responsible for the main renovation tasks, worked together with unity and care, handling each task with great attention to detail. The gasification and synthesis units were shut down on the evening of March 20. After completing all the necessary work permits and having them verified as correct by the process team, on the morning of March 21st, Team 2 of DCS began the renovation of the PLC control systems for the coal mills and bag filters that met the required conditions. Reconstruction of the SIS safety instrument system began on the 24th. During the renovation, all members of DCS Shift 2 worked overtime continuously. They first traced the path of each cable among those located in various cabinets, carefully verified the wiring connections, and applied labels to them. Next, the tasks of removing the old cables, taking down the old cabinets, installing the new cabinets, laying the cables, and connecting the terminal blocks are carried out in sequence. Then they checked and verified each control point one by one ; Complete power-on of the control system ; A series of tasks such as system debugging after the renovation. On March 28, the previous three control system renovation projects were completed. The staff of DCS Shift 2 showed no sign of slacking off, and promptly began working on the modification of the PLC control system for fly ash removal. At the same time, with the strong cooperation of the chemical instrumentation and chemical electrical operations teams in the Electrical and Instrumentation Department, the existing power supplies in all cabinets were modified. This involved adjusting the wiring of the circuit breakers inside the cabinets, by separating the power supply for the fans and lighting from that of the control system. On the other hand, joint debugging of the modified control system was carried out. By April 3, all renovation projects were completed with high quality and efficiency.
