What are the hazards of high temperatures in the flue channels of a coke oven?
400 degrees, sometimes 450
It’s a waste of energy; heat recovery could be considered
If the flue gas temperature exceeds 400°C, isn’t the temperature inside the coke oven even higher? For example, the top temperature; if it is too high, it can damage the furnace body.
With the flue temperature so high, the temperature at the top of your system must be extremely high as well; even the grid bricks can’t withstand it. If this continues, the grid bricks will get damaged, and then your heating system will become unusable.
The flue temperature is so high – what is your standard temperature? If the standard temperatures are high, even if the grid bricks can withstand them, the increase in nitrogen oxide levels in the flue gas will inevitably affect the subsequent denitrification systems; if emissions exceed the limits, fines are inevitable
