Resumption of construction work for the gasification unit installation project at the Datang Fuxin project

On May 7, it was reported from the construction site of the gasification unit installation project for the Phase I of the Datang International Fuxin Coal-to-Natural Gas Project in Liaoning that Sinopec Fourth Construction Co., Ltd. has officially taken on the task of resuming work on this installation project. The gasification unit of the Datang International Fuxin Coal-to-Natural Gas Project (Phase I) ceased operations in September 2013, and on April 27 of this year, the resumption of work on this project was announced. Sinopec Fourth Construction Company is responsible for carrying out the work to resume construction. The planned completion date for this project is October 30, 2018. It is reported that the gasification unit of this project has been shut down for five years now. Due to this long period of inactivity, the equipment in the area has suffered varying degrees of damage and corrosion, posing significant safety and quality risks. The current work plans cannot be based on those for a newly built unit, and the construction challenges are far greater than usual. The construction and installation work for coal gasification plants involves pressurized gasification, gasification slag removal, shift cooling, coal lock gas compression, gasification circulating water systems, deaeration stations, stormwater and sewage pumping stations, 66kV substations, cabinet rooms, as well as all construction work related to the substations. It also includes the installation of various pipelines, equipment, electrical systems, and instrumentation, along with support tasks for commissioning. It also includes the construction of unfinished work such as civil engineering, installation, and commissioning for tasks related to corrosion prevention, insulation, HVAC systems, fire protection, water supply and drainage, road and site hardening, as well as lighting systems.
