The flowchart for vaporization seems really complicated; it also includes four different processes such as slag handling and water treatment. How can I learn this in a way that saves time? Some say that it is sufficient to focus on the main process and there is no need to draw valves and pumps; other technicians claim that by understanding the principle, one can identify the valves present on site. Talk about your optimized learning methods.
First, learn the *principles; once you understand those principles, you will know the design purpose of different sections and be able to comprehend the design intent.
Just like in drawing, start by filling in the main lines – that is, first draw a schematic diagram to understand each step of the process. Then create a PFD and a material balance diagram, and finally draw a PID diagram with the control points indicated. Study thoroughly the layout of the equipment and pipelines on site. Memorize carefully every individual piece of equipment as well as every interlock involved in the operations, following the operating procedures; if you don’t understand the principles, memorize them first and gradually grasp them through practical experience
When I used to train employees, I would first explain what the device is primarily used for, as well as the principle of each section and each piece of equipment, and their role within the entire system. First, one needs to understand these basics. Then start running the pipeline with the flowchart. Once you have these two firmly in mind, you can be considered to have a basic understanding of it. It’s possible to move on to the details and key points.
