For the measurement points of temperature and suction at large chimneys and flue branches, are they generally located before the flap, after the flap, or can either location be used?
It can be placed either in front of or behind the flap, but it must be at a certain distance from the flap; this distance is related to the flow velocity, and the measurement should be taken when the airflow is in a steady state.
Regarding temperature, there is no significant difference before and after flipping the flap; either position is acceptable. But in terms of suction force, the function of the flap is to regulate this force by changing its opening degree; in other words, the suction force before and after the flap is significantly different. So, which value of suction force should we measure – that before the flap or that after it?
Set the measurement point where you want to measure the suction force
Question: On the computer in the control room, the total flue suction and temperature values displayed there – where are these readings taken from? Before the flap turns or after? The temperature remains more or less the same; the resistance from replication does not cause much change in temperature ; However, the flap resistance increases the suction force, resulting in a significant difference between the front and back.
Question: The main flue of the coke oven here has collapsed and needs to be rebuilt. It’s no longer possible to see the installation location on site, so I would like to confirm with you where exactly the measurement points should be placed.

I went in to check before flipping the panel. There is no point in placing it behind the flip switch; the suction force of the switch flip switch doesn’t change much.
