Could you be more specific? When will it start to be used? How long has it been in use already? Is there any systematic blockage?
Do more research – iron-based catalysts have not been used in coking plants. As far as I know, there is a general increase in tower resistance and severe corrosion
There are those used in coking, but despite having used them for over half a year, the system remains rather unstable. There isn’t much change in the resistance of the desulfurization tower; however, the hydrogen sulfide levels downstream of the tower are not stable, and it’s difficult to maintain a consistent ammonia level or pH value. We are still working on improving the system and seeking more appropriate process control parameters.
Which factory are you from? Which company do you use, and how is the quality and the service?
Shanxi Yangguang Coking uses Shanghai Jiaji’s product, and the results are significantly better than those with PDS: the desulfurization efficiency is greatly improved, and there is no increase in by-products. However, during the operation of the process, it is still necessary to explore and determine a suitable set of process operating procedures.
Anhui Tongling Coking has been replacing PDS with chelated iron since last November, and no major problems have occurred so far
With chelated iron catalysts, the amount of by-products generated in the system is lower compared to the PDS method; however, the sulfur particles produced are smaller, which may pose a challenge for manufacturers with inadequate regeneration systems.
