Introduction to wastewater generated in lignite carbon production: Lignite carbon production is a medium- and low-temperature (around 650°C) dry distillation process that uses non-sticky (or weakly sticky) coal as raw material. During this process, products such as lignite carbon (semi-coke), light and heavy coal tar, as well as medium- and low-temperature dry distillation gas are obtained. Compared with the high-temperature (around 1000°C) dry distillation process used for coke production, the gas produced by the medium- and low-temperature dry distillation of lignite carbon does not undergo secondary cracking at high temperatures; moreover, the washing water used to treat this raw gas contains a large amount of pollutants that have not been oxidized at high temperatures. The wastewater generated during the low-temperature carbonization of raw coal and the purification of gas in the production of semi-coke is known as semi-coke production wastewater. This wastewater has a complex composition, containing large amounts of cyclic organic compounds and azide-based inorganic compounds, as well as high levels of oil, ammonium cyanide, phenols, COD, and SS in the water. Our company has recently developed a new DTS packing technology specifically designed for the treatment of oily wastewater (a utility model patent has been filed for it). The key features of this technology are as follows: High efficiency (30% to 60% more efficient than traditional coalescing plate packings) ; The oil phase removal efficiency for any oily wastewater can exceed 90% ; The same effect is also observed on other impurities that are soluble in the oil phase ; Can effectively reduce the size of separation equipment ; Unique coarse-graining coalescence technology that eliminates the need for emulsifying the oil phase ; Highly suitable for water separators in heavy oil and thick crude oils ; Highly adaptable to fluids with high levels of sludge flocs and solid suspended particles ; Easy to install for new and renovated separation equipment ; Cross-flow process ; Can reduce the impact of surface waves and liquid surface oscillations ; The plate gap can be adjusted according to the requirements and characteristics of fluid processing ; Horizontal or vertical installation ; Beneficial for overall modularization ; Wide range of applications ; Wide range of application fields ; Metal and non-metal materials can be selected ; No moving parts, easy to clean and maintain; pure physical removal process with no energy consumption (except for the inlet and outlet pumps) ; Scope of application and fields of use: Treatment of semi-coke wastewater Systems for treating crude oil and condensate in offshore and onshore oil and gas fields Water treatment systems for fluids produced in offshore and onshore oil and gas fields Treatment of domestic wastewater Ships Chemical industry Oil refining Power plants Airports Railways. Our company has conducted field experiments on the oil removal efficiency of this solution for semi-coke wastewater (with results provided by third-party testing agencies), as well as practical applications in real projects: a company in Yulin City. The experiments and practical applications have shown that this product offers extremely high efficiency in removing oil from semi-coke wastewater; no emulsification is required, and the oil obtained can generate economic benefits.
