For the grouting of the protective plates in newly built coke ovens, the grouting is usually carried out in three stages. How many days is a suitable duration for this process?
It’s hard to say; quality takes time. Personally, I think coke ovens over 5.5 meters in length should be divided into four sections, as it is difficult to control the height of the first section, which makes voids more likely to form. If the construction timeline is too short, it is difficult to control the quality of construction, especially in the lower sections, and it’s hard to make up for issues later on.
