During the preparation of pulverized coal, does a finer pulverized coal result in higher consumption, or does a coarser pulverized coal lead to higher consumption? The finer the coal powder is ground, the more energy the coal grinder consumes; however, the amount of circulating air can be reduced. The coarser the coal powder, the lower the output of the grinder, but more circulating air is required. So which type of consumption is actually greater?
In the design, moisture and grindability index are the main factors to consider; the requirements regarding particle size are not that strict.
