Issues related to tar moisture content in coal coking areas

During the tar production process, severe emulsification of tar in the tar intermediate tank and excessive water content were observed. Meanwhile, the production workshop reported an unexplained rise in temperature inside the tar intermediate tank (with the heating steam turned off and no leaks in the heating system, and no abnormalities detected on the temperature gauge of the intermediate tank), while the temperature in the mechanical clarification tank remained normal. No relevant information was found on the related phenomena. Therefore, I would like to ask everyone for help regarding the possible reasons for the increase in the tar temperature in this tar intermediate tank.
Verify that it is not due to a poorly sealed steam valve on the heating coil, or to steam leaking in as a result of a poorly sealed valve in the tar outlet pipeline; check all pipes that connect to the tar intermediate tank and are part of the steam pipeline system
