Yan’an Energy Chemicals’ natural gas conversion and synthesis facility successfully recovers permeate gas from membrane separation processes. Author/Source: Yan’an Energy Chemicals, Yanchang Petroleum. Date: April 14, 2021. Clicks: 2. On April 7, good news came from the natural gas conversion and synthesis center: after days of concerted efforts, the center managed to recover the permeate gas from the dipropyl heptanol production unit’s membrane separation system. This will result in an increase in methanol production of 9,000 tons per year, generating an additional revenue of around 10 million yuan. It not only improves efficiency but also lays a solid foundation for more efficient operation of the entire plant. The membrane separation unit of the dipropylheptanol plant currently produces 2,700 standard cubic meters of permeate per hour; this permeate consists of 75% hydrogen and 25% carbon monoxide. By introducing this permeate into the synthesis loop of the natural gas synthesis plant, it is possible to reduce the hydrogen-to-carbon ratio of coal-based gas, improve the efficiency of carbon utilization in the gasification process, reduce the company’s overall production costs, and increase methanol production at the same time. It is understood that the membrane separation project is one of the key initiatives the company is focusing on in 2020; it is a crucial project for achieving \"more coal and less gas, as well as efficient operation.\" The Natural Gas Conversion and Synthesis Center attaches great importance to this project and fully cooperates with the EPDM Butanol Center in its implementation. Special personnel are responsible for all stages, from the initial planning and design and construction to pipeline purging and leak testing. In light of the high risks and difficulties associated with construction work within the operating equipment, the center established a project task force to develop detailed construction plans and emergency response protocols, ensuring that the project is completed to both quality and quantity standards. “Next, the center will continue to maintain close cooperation with the production scheduling department, the coal gasification and purification center, and the EPDM butanol center, in order to continuously explore the optimal hydrogen-to-carbon ratio for coal-based gas. This effort is aimed at maximizing efficiency and making a positive contribution to the company’s development. ”Zhao Yinshi, the company’s deputy chief engineer and manager of the center, said.
May I ask where your company’s natural gas to methanol converter is manufactured? Which domestic companies are capable of producing it?
Sichuan Tianyi Technology, the Southwest Institute, and Chengdu General should all be able to carry out the design
