The treatment and utilization of fine slag from coal gasification have long been an environmental challenge common in the coal chemical industry. The main treatment methods currently in use include flotation, co-firing, and selective flocculation, while large-scale utilization is primarily focused on applications such as construction materials and ceramic materials. Due to the high carbon content, numerous impurities, and high porosity of coal gasification fine slag, there are many challenges associated with its treatment and utilization, including high costs, low utilization efficiency, immature processing technologies, and a limited range of available products. These issues constitute a bottleneck for the sustainable development of coal chemical enterprises. To address the challenges related to the treatment and utilization of coal gasification fine slag, Shaanxi Coal Group Yulin Chemical Co., Ltd. collaborated with Xi’an University of Technology on the project \"Research on the Resource Utilization of Coal Gasification Fine Slag for the Production of High-Performance Adsorption Materials,\" in an effort to find ways for large-scale disposal and value-added use of this slag. The research on this project not only enables the effective utilization of gasification fine slag to turn waste into a valuable resource but also facilitates wastewater treatment and reduces pollution emissions. Once successful, it will represent a high-value method for the resource utilization of gasification waste, carrying positive implications for both the company and the entire coal chemical industry. Shaanxi Coal Group Yulin Chemical Co., Ltd. will continue to thoroughly implement the innovation-driven strategy, working to establish platforms for technological innovation, demonstration of new technologies and development of new industries, as well as platforms for formulating coal chemical technology standards and specifications and promoting their application.
