Yunnan Yuxi Xianfu Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd.’s 1 million tons per year coking production project: This project is designated as one of Yunnan Province’s “Four Hundreds” key construction projects, as well as a provincial-level key industrial project; it represents a crucial upstream component for achieving integration between steel production and coking. Location: The Yangwu area of the Green Steel City zone in the Xinping Industrial Park, Yuxi, Yunnan. Implementing party: Yunnan Yuxi Xianfu Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. Investment scale: The estimated investment amount is 2.199 billion yuan. Land area: Approximately 1,200 mu. Production capacity: 1 million tons of dry coke per year. Construction timeline: Construction began in September 2024, with completion and operation planned for June 2026. Current progress: The project is making every effort to meet the target of starting operations by June 2026. Key progress details: As of January 2026, over 80% of the civil engineering work has been completed, with a total investment of around 1.2 billion yuan so far. Core equipment: The construction of two ramming coke ovens with a carbonization chamber height of 6.25 meters (the highest in the province) is progressing smoothly. Among them, the construction of Coke Oven No. 2 was completed in 2025, and efforts are currently underway to install protective devices such as oven doors ； The refractory lining of Coke Oven No. 1 is also about to be completed.
