On April 9, the comprehensive application project for carbon-based new materials by Wuhai Anlun New Technology Co., Ltd. commenced construction in the Wuhai High-Tech Industrial Development Zone. As a subsidiary of Shanxi Yangguang Coking, the launch of this project signifies the further expansion of Yangguang Group, a major coking enterprise in Shanxi, in the field of carbon-based new materials across the national market. Wuhai Anlun was established in December 2022, with Shanxi Anlun Chemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Shanxi Anlun”) holding 90% of the shares and Inner Mongolia Guangju New Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Inner Mongolia Guangju”) holding 10% of the shares. According to the plan, the Wuhai Anlun Carbon-Based New Materials Comprehensive Application Project covers an area of approximately 703 mu, with a total investment of 3.17 billion yuan. The main components of the project include four core facilities along with supporting systems: a carbon black production facility with an annual output of 280,000 tons, a coal pyrolysis facility capable of producing 2.63 million tons of high-quality coal per year, facilities for processing 300,000 tons of high-temperature coal tar and 150,000 tons of low-temperature coal tar per year, as well as facilities for producing 150,000 tons of LNG per year and other related installations. Once completed and put into operation, the annual total output value is expected to be around 6 billion yuan.
