Why does the outlet flow rate of this pump decrease when slag accumulation in the lock chamber is poor, and return to normal once the issue is resolved?
This pump is used to assist in the removal of slag; if the slag doesn’t flow properly, the water flow will decrease, and consequently the pump’s flow rate will also drop.
It indicates that there is slag blockage at the inlet of the lock hopper; fixing that issue will restore the flow rate in the lock hopper!
So why is this the case? What causes it? Won’t the inlet of the pump get emptied?
I agree with what was said on the second floor; that’s exactly how it is. Therefore, this traffic volume can also be used as an indicator to determine whether the slag discharge is proceeding smoothly.
I also know that the entrance to the lockroom is blocked, but why did it recover after dropping? What is the reason for his declining traffic? Is it due to lower entry pressure, or some other reason?
It is also possible that cavitation has occurred in the pump
There is slag blockage or leakage at the inlet of the lock-hopper circulation pump.
The blockage at the upper part of the lock hopper is the reason why the pump does not operate, as the pressure in the lock hopper decreases

It’s probably the inlet filter of the pump that’s clogged
