Construction Scale and Scope:
New construction of a 230t/h dry quenching unit along with associated boilers.
Supporting facilities: J201/J202 coke conveyor corridors, air coolers, dust removal systems at transfer stations, and dust removal systems for high-sulfur content in the dry quenching process.
Upgrades: Raising the height of J101/J102 conveyors, boiler feed water pump stations, and adding floors to the electrical rooms for the dry quenching unit; upgrading the circulating water system.
Reuse of existing facilities: Steam turbine power generation station, comprehensive electrical room for the dry quenching unit, and ground-based dust removal systems.
Project Background and Significance:
Leveraging the company’s main 2×65-chamber, 6.78-meter-high coke ovens with an annual production capacity of 1.8 million tons, this project pairs them with the existing 230t/h dry quenching unit, providing one unit in active use and another as a backup. This arrangement enhances the continuity and stability of production; Enhancing waste heat recovery, reducing costs and improving efficiency, as well as minimizing pollution, is in line with the trend of green technological upgrades in the coking industry.
