On November 16, the first gasifier for this project was installed by Shandong Fangming Chemical Co., Ltd., marking the transition of the gasification facility from the civil engineering phase to the installation phase. The coal-to-hydrogen and ammonia synthesis units of the Fangming Chemicals waste gas comprehensive utilization project utilize a water-cooled wall waste boiler gasifier of the Shuimei Huajian Group type (Jinhua Furnace 3.0). The gasification pressure is 6.7 MPaG, with a total gas flow rate of 76,000 Nm3/h (CO + H2). Two such gasification units are planned to be built, with commissioning scheduled for 2022. The installation work of the gasification unit for this project was carried out by Sinochem Second Construction Engineering Company. As the core equipment of the gasification unit, the gasifier was lifted in two stages. It is 20 meters in length and weighs 365.7 tons; lifting is carried out using an 800-ton crawler crane as the main lifting device. On November 19, the two gasification furnaces of the project were lifted into place. The **Comprehensive Utilization Project of Caprolactam Off-gas** owned by Shandong Fangming Chemical Co., Ltd. is located in Maqiao Town, Dongming County, Heze City, Shandong Province. The project consists of three units: the hydrogen production unit uses coal as raw material and employs technologies such as water-cooled wall gasifier for coal slurry, sulfur-resistant shift reaction, low-temperature methanol washing for desulfurization and decarburization, and pressure swing adsorption for purification to produce 50,000 Nm3/h of hydrogen; the nitrogen production unit utilizes PSA purification of caprolactam off-gas to generate nitrogen; the ammonia synthesis unit applies low-pressure ammonia synthesis technology at 150 MPa to produce 140,000 tons of ammonia per year.
