From December 19 to 20, 2017, the review meeting for the process package of Shaanxi Zhongrun New Energy Co., Ltd.’s 50,000 tons per year polymethoxymethane project (Phase I) was successfully held in Qingdao, Shandong. The complete set of technical process packages provided by Qingdao Maiteda New Materials Co., Ltd. passed the review successfully, marking a milestone in the progress of this project. Experts in related fields, as well as engineering technicians from Shaanxi Zhongrun New Energy Co., Ltd., Qingdao Maiteda New Materials Co., Ltd., and Shandong Qiyang Petrochemical Engineering Design Co., Ltd., attended the meeting. http://www.sxzhcc.com/uptupian/allimg/1712/1_171228085326_1.jpg The members of the expert group reviewed the documentation related to the process package, listened to a detailed explanation of its contents, and conducted a thorough discussion and review of the package from aspects such as the design of the process flow, the selection of process equipment and recommended materials, as well as automation control. The expert group agreed unanimously that this process package meets the requirements of the contract; its level of detail satisfies the specifications set out in SPMP-STD-EM2001, issued by China Petrochemical Corporation, regarding process design packages for petrochemical plants. The DMM2 and DMM3–4 flexible production technologies developed meet the contractual requirements regarding product designs. The content of the process package is comprehensive and detailed, the process flow and equipment design are reasonable, the material and heat balances are accurate, and considerations have been given to the hierarchical utilization of energy as well as the control of VOCs. The process control scheme is feasible, allowing for the initiation of basic design work based on it. Since 2009, Qingdao Maiteda New Materials Co., Ltd. has been dedicated to the research of polydimethyl methoxide production technologies as well as their industrial development. In 2014, it granted Zibo Jinchang Combustion Aids Co., Ltd. the permission to use third-generation polydimethyl methoxide (DMM3~8) technology to build an industrial demonstration plant with an annual production capacity of 40,000 tons. Once these products were introduced to the market, they received wide recognition from users ; In October 2015, through a technology licensing agreement, Shaanxi Industrial Development Group Energy Technology Co., Ltd. constructed a 50,000-ton/year polymethoxymethane production facility in the Changqing Industrial Park in Shaanxi Province ; In September 2017, Shaanxi Zhongrun New Energy Co., Ltd. obtained a technology license to build a 50,000-ton/year polymethoxymethane production facility using fourth-generation technology in the Hancheng Qianqi New Materials Industrial Park. Shaanxi Zhongrun New Energy’s 50,000 tons per year polydimethyl methoxide project is a key component of Hancheng’s 100-billion-yuan new materials industry cluster, and it represents one of the important projects for driving the industrial transformation and upgrading in Hancheng as well as facilitating its further development. The construction of this project will further improve the industrial chain of Hancheng City’s 100-billion-yuan new materials and chemical industry cluster, taking a crucial step forward in achieving the set goal of advancing the city’s coal chemical industry in the directions of clean energy and new materials. At the same time, it will surely provide strong internal momentum for Hancheng City to become a regional central city along the Yellow River, a new-type industrial city, and a **-level demonstration base for circular economy.
