Recently, Henan Weixin Bidding Management Consulting Co., Ltd. was commissioned to conduct an open tender for the preliminary environmental impact assessment of the project aimed at upgrading the raw material processing routes at Anyang Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. The raw material processing route upgrade project of Anyang Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. involves the use of clean coal gasification technologies from the modern coal chemical industry, along with new technologies and processes such as air separation, purification, and gas separation, to upgrade the existing traditional chemical industry. Additionally, a production facility capable of producing 200,000 tons per year of ethylene glycol (with an additional output of 10,000 tons per year of DMC) will be built as part of this project ； 10,000 tons per year of ethanol ； 20,000 tons per year of diethylene glycol); meanwhile, new projects for 30,000 tons per year of formamide and 10,000 tons per year of N-methylformamide will be established. Anyang Chemical Industry Group Company was formerly known as Henan Anyang Fertilizer Factory; it was integrated into Henan Energy and Chemical Industry Group in March 2009. The key products and annual production capacities include 320,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 470,000 tons of urea, 200,000 tons of compound fertilizers, 200,000 tons of ethylene glycol, 300,000 tons of bottle-grade polyester, and 160,000 tons of methylamine/DMF. According to Yahuazheng Consulting’s data, the coal (syngas)-based ethylene glycol production capacity of Henan Energy and Chemical Group has reached 1.4 million tons per year. Henan Energy & Chemical Group has built 5 units for producing ethylene glycol from coal/syngas, located in Xinxiang, Puyang, Anyang, Luoyang, and Yongcheng respectively. Since 2012, the units have been successfully put into operation for trial runs one after another. On March 8, 2018, Yongjin Chemical’s 200,000 tons per year ethylene glycol production facility in Xinxiang was successfully commissioned, producing qualified ethylene glycol products. Thus, all 5 sets of ethylene glycol plants with a capacity of 200,000 tons per year have been put into operation. On March 19, 2018, the groundbreaking ceremony was held for Longyu Coal Chemical’s new 200,000 tons per year ethylene glycol production project within the Henan Energy and Chemical Industry Group. The project is located in the industrial cluster area of Yongcheng City. It involves a 200,000-ton ethylene glycol production facility that makes use of the existing system infrastructure as well as an additional 60,000 Nm3/h of syngas.
