Precautions for replacing methanol catalysts

How many people and how much time are typically required to replace a methanol catalyst? How long does one have to stay in the reactor, and will it be very stuffy? Are there any things to be mindful of in terms of personal safety? I just graduated and started working in a factory; I don’t know much about it yet. I hope those with more experience can give me some guidance.

Typically, catalyst manufacturers will tell you that under full load conditions, the catalyst can be used for about three years, after which its efficiency will gradually decline. But in reality, catalyst replacement is determined based on actual production conditions. There are many reasons for this: operational errors, equipment failures, the presence of oils or impurities such as sulfur and phosphorus in the feed gas, etc. When replacing the catalyst, it depends on factors such as whether the equipment design facilitates unloading and loading, as well as the amount of catalyst required, to determine how many people are needed
There is no need to enter when the catalyst is unloaded, but entry is required during cleaning.
