It has been learned recently that the preliminary work for Inner Mongolia Huaxing New Energy Co., Ltd.’s 600,000-ton coal-to-olefins project has officially begun this month. The feasibility study report for the project has already been prepared, while environmental impact assessment-related preliminary tasks such as environmental monitoring are currently in progress. Huaxing’s 600,000-ton coal-to-olefins project was included in the 13th Five-Year Plan in May 2018. It is to be invested and constructed by Inner Mongolia Huaxing New Energy Co., Ltd., with a total investment of around 12.6 billion yuan. The overall production capacity is 600,000 tons per year; the scale of the facility for producing coal-to-methanol is 1.8 million tons per year. The main products are polyethylene and polypropylene, with a preliminary ratio of 1:1 between these two products, meaning 300,000 tons of each per year. In actual production, the ratio between polyethylene and polypropylene as well as the product grades will be adjusted according to market conditions. In addition, the land use, planning, water allocation requirements, energy efficiency assessment report, and water resource evaluation report for Inner Mongolia Huaxing New Energy Co., Ltd.’s 4 billion cubic meters per year coal-to-natural gas project have all been approved. The environmental impact assessment report has been revised in accordance with the suggestions of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, and preparations are underway for a second submission ; Strive to have the project approved in 2018. Huaxing New Energy’s 4 billion cubic meters per year coal-to-natural gas project is located in the Shanghaimiao Energy and Chemical Industry Base in Ordos. It uses coal as raw material and employs technologies such as fixed-bed pressurized gasification, sulfur-tolerant shift reaction, low-temperature methanol washing for purification, and nickel-based catalysts for methane synthesis to produce synthetic natural gas. The main by-products include tar, middle oil, crude phenol, naphtha, sulfur, sulfuric acid, and liquid ammonia. http://img.yf116.cn/image/img/20180830/154965694655.jpg http://img.yf116.cn/image/img/20180830/1549455698563.jpg
