Dear experts, why is a level gauge installed in a reboiler?
This is a kettle-type reboiler, right? The liquid level needs to be controlled
It needs to be determined whether it is a reboiler or an evaporator. If there is a liquid level, it definitely isn’t a forced-circulation system; in the case of a thermosyphon reboiler, the liquid level is controlled by the liquid level in the reactor bottom, so there’s no need for an additional level gauge. Therefore, I suspect you are referring to a batch evaporator. In such a case, controlling the liquid level is necessary in order to regulate the heating area, adjust the amount of evaporation, and also to leave space for evaporation to take place
What type of reboiler are you referring to?
Controlling the liquid level for better heat exchange and evaporation
