What is a multi-stage compression refrigeration cycle? Answer: A multi-stage compression refrigeration cycle is also known as a multi-stage evaporation refrigeration cycle. A multi-stage compression refrigeration cycle is also known as a multi-stage evaporation refrigeration cycle or a refrigeration cycle with multiple compression stages. When gas needs to be compressed to high pressure, multi-stage compression is commonly used, with cooling between each stage. This compression process is relatively close to an isothermal process. If a gas at pressure p1 is compressed to pressure p3, and two-stage compression is chosen, the intermediate pressure p2 is selected as such that power consumption is minimized. In other words.
