On December 31, 2025, the 350,000-ton per year green methanol production project of Inner Mongolia Yide Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd. in Guyang County, Baotou, was approved for registration. The project is located in Baotou City, Guyang County, within the Baotou Jinshan Economic Zone; the entity responsible for it is Inner Mongolia Yide Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 480 million yuan. Construction scale and scope: Utilize wind power in Guyang County to produce green hydrogen through electrolysis, and combine it with green carbon syngas generated from biomass gasification to manufacture 350,000 tons of green methanol per year. The construction requires 600 mu of land for the chemical industrial park, one comprehensive building, 10 production workshops, one biomass gasifier, one methanol synthesis unit, one methanol distillation unit, and one set of methanol storage tanks. Planned construction period: March 2026 to March 2028.
