Orchid Innovation and Beijing Tiandi Rongchuang signed a strategic partnership agreement for a green methanol project. On April 16, Shanxi Orchid Technology Entrepreneurship Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as Orchid Innovation) and Beijing Tiandi Rongchuang Technology Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as Beijing Tiandi Rongchuang) signed such an agreement in Jincheng, Shanxi. Through consultation, both parties agreed to build a project for the production of 100,000 tons per year of biomass-based green methanol, building on the existing infrastructure of Shanxi Lanhua Danfeng Chemical Co., Ltd. The project will be implemented in phases, with the first phase focusing on technical upgrades to achieve an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons of green methanol. Under the agreement, the two parties intend to establish a platform company to oversee matters related to project investment, construction, operation, and management. Orchid Innovation is responsible for coordinating overall efforts and providing the necessary resources such as energy consumption targets, emission standards, land for the project, supporting utility facilities, and personnel support, as well as carrying out the feasibility study for the project. Beijing Tiandi Rongchuang is responsible for conducting technical validations related to the production of biomass-based green methanol, to ensure that the technology is mature, reliable, and economically viable. It is also tasked with providing comprehensive, advanced, and compliant project technical solutions, processes, and related technical support. Additionally, it is responsible for handling all matters related to project initiation, registration, evaluation, approval, and subsequent administrative procedures. To effectively coordinate the project schedule, both parties will jointly establish a project task force responsible for daily communication, information exchange, issue resolution, and overall progress monitoring. Regular meetings will be held to address any problems that arise during the project’s implementation.
