Latest Progress on Donghua Technology’s Fuhua Gas Large-Scale Coal Gasification Project Author/Source: Coal Chemical Engineering 114 Forum Date: April 6, 2020 Clicks: 30 On the afternoon of March 31, the CO cryogenic separation cold box for Donghua Technology’s Fuhua Gas large-scale coal gasification project was successfully lifted into place, marking the first successful completion of a large-scale equipment installation task since the project resumed operations in 2020. The CO cryogenic separation cryostat is 29 meters tall and weighs 154 tons. The main crane for lifting operations is a 400-ton crawler crane equipped with a super-lifting function. Before the lifting process, the Donghua Technology project team maintained close communication with the construction subcontractors, taking into full account various factors that could affect the lifting process such as the size of the equipment and the conditions of the site. A thorough, feasible, and reliable plan for lifting the equipment was developed, and special foundation treatment was carried out at the area where the lifting would take place. Ultimately, under the joint supervision of the owner, supervisor, and participating contractors, the CO cryogenic separation cryostat was successfully lifted into place in one attempt. As an important component of the purification system, the successful lifting and installation of the CO cryogenic separation cryostat boosted the morale of the construction team and strengthened the confidence of the employees from all participating organizations. Under the current pandemic situation, the Fugas Gas Department of Donghua Technology, together with all participating units, is working together to steadily and orderly advance the various project control objectives. Located in the Jiangyin Industrial Zone of Fuqing City, Fujian Province, this project is a key initiative in both Fujian Province and Fuzhou City. Once operational, it will be able to supply downstream enterprises in the Jiangyin Chemical Park with basic chemical raw materials such as 444,700 tons of liquid ammonia per year, 40,000 standard cubic meters per hour of hydrogen, and 20,000 standard cubic meters per hour of carbon monoxide. This will help reduce the operating costs of various manufacturing enterprises in the Jiangyin industrial area, enhance the market competitiveness of their products, and promote the development of the new chemical materials industry within the park.
