On January 14-15, the kick-off meeting and contract signing ceremony for the general contracting project of the raw material and product tank farm for Guangxi Huayi New Materials’ 750,000 tons per year propylene and downstream processing project were successfully held. Yu Xin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of China Five Rings Company, Zhao Qi, Senior Advisor, Jiang Zhaofei, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Guangxi Hua Yi New Materials Co., Ltd., Luo Mingyun, General Manager, Tao Feng, Deputy General Manager, as well as project directors Zhu Ping and Jiang Haiying, attended the signing ceremony. The construction scale includes 3 x 85,000 cubic meter low-temperature propane storage tanks, 1 x 50,000 cubic meter low-temperature butane storage tank, along with supporting propylene and C5 spherical tank groups, benzene tank groups, and atmospheric pressure tank groups; the total tank capacity exceeds 400,000 cubic meters. Once the project is completed and put into operation, it will provide strong support in terms of raw material and product storage for the industrial chain development of Guangxi Huayi. On January 8, China Chemical China Tianchen Engineering Co., Ltd. and Guangxi Huayi New Materials Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony in Tianjin for the general contract for the design, procurement, and construction of the auxiliary facility systems for Guangxi Huayi’s 750,000 tons per year propylene and downstream processing integrated project. Image: On December 10th and 11th, the contract signing ceremony and kick-off meeting for the EPC project of the propane dehydrogenation unit in Phase II of Huayi Qinzhou Chemical New Materials Integration Base – Guangxi Huayi’s 750,000 tons per year propylene and downstream processing project – were held at Hualu Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. in Xi’an, Shaanxi. The successful commencement of construction marks the entry of Huayi Qinzhou Propane Dehydrogenation Unit into the full-scale construction phase, as well as the entry of the second-phase project of Huayi Qinzhou Integrated Chemical New Materials Base into the comprehensive construction phase. The total investment for the project is 872,644 million yuan. The main construction activities include building 1 set of a propane dehydrogenation (PDH) plant with an annual capacity of 750,000 tons, 1 set of butanol production plant with an annual capacity of 300,000 tons, 2 sets of acrylic acid and ester production plants with an annual capacity of 200,000 tons each, and 3 sets of polyacrylate-based superabsorbent polymers (SAP) production plants with an annual capacity of 33,000 tons each. The Huayi Qinzhou Chemical New Materials Integrated Base project is located in the Qinzhou Petrochemical Industrial Park, covering an area of about 8,000 mu, with a total investment of around 70 billion yuan. It will be implemented in three phases. It covers four major industrial chains: coal chemical industry, light hydrocarbon cracking, salt chemical industry, and downstream petrochemical industry, involving 40 types of chemical products and 65 sets of processing units. One of these industrial gas island projects involves an investment of 14.3 billion yuan; it is part of the coal chemical industry chain. Construction began in November 2017, and it produces industrial gases such as hydrogen, syngas, and nitrogen for use by enterprises within the park, as well as chemical products like methanol, ethylene glycol, and acetic acid. The second-phase light hydrocarbon comprehensive utilization project has a total investment of around 20.8 billion yuan. It focuses on ethane cracking and propane dehydrogenation as its core processes, producing products such as polyethylene, ethylene glycol, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), acrylic acids and their esters, polyether polyols, caustic soda, and polyvinyl chloride. The main plant area of the project is located in plots 25 and 26 in the Qinzhou Petrochemical Industry Park, to the south of it. The third-phase methanol-to-olefins and downstream processing project has a total investment of around 18.3 billion yuan; it will produce products such as polypropylene, polycarbonate, polymethyl methacrylate, caustic soda, and polyvinyl chloride, with construction expected to begin in 2025.
