On July 13, an expert review meeting on the equivalent energy reduction plan for Yanchang Petroleum’s 500,000 tons per year coal-based ethanol project was successfully held in Xi’an. The company invited an expert panel, as well as relevant personnel from Shaanxi Energy Conservation and Development Investment Co., Ltd. and the project’s participating units, to attend the meeting. At the meeting, the expert group first listened to a presentation of the plan and reviewed relevant energy-saving materials. The participants conducted in-depth discussions on the operability and feasibility of the alternative solutions aimed at reducing energy consumption in the ethanol project, raised questions regarding the prepared plan, and carefully analyzed the energy-saving measures that could be adopted for the ethanol project, proposing 8 suggestions and recommendations. After the meeting, the drafting unit will, in light of the expert group’s suggestions, promptly refine the plan for replacing energy consumption with equivalent alternatives in the ethanol project, to ensure that the plan is scientific, reasonable, and practically feasible.
