At 8 p.m. on October 10, good news came from Xintian Coal Chemicals’ key project for 2021, namely the unit for the deep processing of heavy aromatics and polyhydrocarbons: this unit achieved success on its first attempt, producing the first ton of qualified oil products, which were then stored in tanks awaiting shipment for sale. This marks the successful completion of New Tian Coal Chemical’s key annual science and technology project, as it officially enters the production phase. To date, the unit has been operating stably at 70% load, producing 1.5 tons of light hydrocarbons, 3 tons of phenol oil, 4 tons of anthracene oil, and 3 tons of washing oil per hour. It is understood that this device can generate profits of between 50 million and 100 million yuan per year, playing a positive role in promoting environmental improvements, energy savings, cost reduction, and increased efficiency at Xintian Coal Chemical Industry.
The Heavy Aromatic and Polyhydrocarbon Deep Processing Project of Liuxintian Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. is a renovation and expansion project, with the plant located in the coal-based clean fuel oil industry zone within the park. The construction scope includes advanced processing facilities for heavy aromatics and polyhydrocarbons, as well as associated tank farms, loading/unloading equipment, and auxiliary infrastructure. The project is carried out under an EPC turnkey contract model, with a construction period of 340 days. The project has an annual processing capacity of 200,000 tons, of which 120,000 tons are heavy aromatics and 80,000 tons are polyaromatic hydrocarbons per year. This project involves the fractional distillation of heavy aromatics and polyhydrocarbons to produce light hydrocarbons, heavy benzene, crude phenol, washing oil, anthracene oil, and coal tar pitch. The total investment for the project is 73.86 million yuan, of which 65.06 million yuan is allocated to Phase 1 and 8.8 million yuan to Phase 2. Environmental protection investments amounted to 12.74 million yuan, accounting for 17.25% of the total investment. This project is an important step taken by Xintian Coal Chemical to further optimize its environmental protection facilities and implement the concept of green development. As a key project for Xintian Coal Chemical in 2020, the successful implementation of this project will enable the conversion of heavy aromatics, which are listed as hazardous waste, into oil products that can be sold directly. Once completed, the project will play a positive role in improving the company’s efficiency, reducing costs, and minimizing losses. The construction of this advanced processing facility is closely related to **environmental regulations, the requirement for enterprises to meet emission standards, as well as economic benefits. It is planned to be completed by the end of April 2021, with a tight construction timeline ； At the same time, this project involves complex specialties and requires technical upgrades to the existing equipment, making it highly challenging. To this end, Xintian Coal Chemical attaches great importance to this project, makes scientific plans, and adjusts its project management model.
