Project Overview and Scope of Bidding 2.1 Project overview, scope of bidding, and division into bid sections (packages): This project is divided into 3 bid sections in total. 2.1.1 Section 1: Retrofit of dynamic voltage recovery systems for key interlock equipment in the methanol plant (1) Project overview: The two induced draft fan motors in the methanol plant are driven by frequency converters and do not have any devices to protect against voltage fluctuations; as a result, voltage fluctuations often cause the fans to stop operating, which in turn triggers an interlock that shuts down the oxygen supply, leading to a shutdown of the entire plant. To ensure the normal operation of the methanol plant, a retrofit is being carried out on the electrical circuit of one of the induced draft fans, involving the installation of dynamic voltage recovery units. (2) Scope of the bid: The contractor shall bear all costs related to the design, manufacturing, transportation, dismantling, installation of all materials and auxiliary materials required for the project, as well as the restoration of associated equipment and facilities, along with the costs of tools and machinery. The project scope includes the supply and acceptance of dynamic voltage restorers and related accessories, the removal of the power cables and associated auxiliary equipment of the existing induced draft fans’ frequency converters, the installation of dynamic voltage restorers and their accessories, the restoration of relevant equipment and facilities, and the completion acceptance.
