In petrochemical enterprises, how should the repair shops for indoor electrical welding and cutting, along with the surrounding facilities, be classified? Should they be considered as areas with open flames, as areas that generate sparks, or as ordinary Class V workshops?
In petrochemical regulations, locations where sparks are generated are defined as fixed outdoor sites such as grinding wheels, electric welding and gas welding equipment, as well as non-explosion-proof electrical switches outdoors. Only outdoor areas can be considered places where sparks are generated; do indoor areas count as well?
