There are several issues regarding temporary power usage in chemical plants that I would like to discuss with you: 1. Do temporary electrical devices used in explosion-proof areas need to meet explosion-proof requirements? If temporary power supply is to be used in explosion-proof areas, the distance from the distribution box to the on-site switch box and then to the electrical equipment can sometimes be quite long. In addition to a fire work permit being required at the location where power is used, it is necessary to determine whether fire work permits are also required for the distribution boxes along the cable routes, as well as for other areas involved in this temporary power supply setup, and whether these areas meet the explosion-proof requirements. Because legitimate companies have strict restrictions on hot work, and sometimes the duration of temporary electrical work is quite long, it would be entirely inefficient to rely on hot work to manage risks. 2. Can the temporary power plugs available on site be connected directly to electrical equipment? The explosion-proof maintenance plugs available on site, in terms of three-level power distribution and two-level protection, cannot be used directly; at least a switch box needs to be connected first. But in reality, this is extremely inconvenient. From a regulatory perspective, three-level power distribution is intended to ensure compliance with standards. For two-level protection, I believe it is sufficient to have two leakage protection switches on the circuit, so that if one of them fails accidentally, the other can still function.
