For 110KV distribution equipment rooms, what is the appropriate scheme for exhaust ventilation in case of SF6 gas leaks? Can ventilation ducts be installed in the distribution room to exhaust air upward to the roof (similar to a range hood, with the intake located 15 centimeters above the ground)? Do we still have to install the fan directly at the bottom of the wall to exhaust it outside?
Either one is fine; it’s not specified that it has to be the latter.

Check the relevant standard GB50035 – it does not specify anything, so it can be used both indoors and outdoors. In GB50059, the ventilation requirement is specified as 2 hours per time under normal conditions, and 4 hours per time in case of an accident; please check again to confirm
SF6 is denser than air and tends to accumulate at the bottom; therefore, exhaust fans should be installed at the lower part
Thank you! But there’s a problem now. There is no space at the lower part for installing a fan. Outside the wall are other rooms. The lower fan cannot discharge air directly to the outside.
