Hello, everyone! The safety distance from the liquid ammonia spherical tank to the control room at the loading station (as well as to the distribution panels in the electrical section) is 16 meters; no objections were raised regarding this in previous safety assessments or production licenses. Currently, there are requirements for renewing production licenses, as well as safety inspections for major hazard sources, which stipulate that a safety distance of over 25 meters must be maintained. The design institute explained that it is designed according to the loading station standards, and a length of over 10 meters is sufficient. However, security experts disagree, saying that a liquid ammonia pump is needed to fill the tank truck, and the distance must be greater than 25 meters. It will cost over 1 million to renovate it. We think what the security experts say makes sense, but the design institute simply refuses to admit that the design is incorrect. Please tell me, it’s the filling station, not canning.

You should follow the petrochemical regulations for this, but there is indeed no basis for requiring a distance of 10 meters between the spherical tank and the loading/unloading station; it’s best to consult an expert to clarify this
