Our chemical plant is located in a southern coastal area, and Huarong IP 66 lighting fixtures are used there. However, in actual operation, it is common to find that the wiring boxes or lighting fixtures get flooded with water. One reason for this is the infiltration of rainwater; another likely cause is the high humidity in the south, which leads to condensation. Once water gets into the lighting fixtures or wiring boxes, it can easily cause ground short circuits. Dear colleagues, do you have any effective measures to prevent such situations during production?
The condensate water should be able to evaporate due to the heat it generates on its own； The main reason why rainwater can get into IP66-rated lighting fixtures is improper wiring, with the outer diameter of the cable not matching that of the sealing tube at the protective opening.
It’s really difficult for condensation water to evaporate on its own through heat generation; the Huarong manufacturer tried it on-site, and even when the sealing was excellent, water droplets were still present after a week； Therefore, when installing pipes for lighting fixtures here, the connections must be made intermittently
