I would like to ask fellow maritime professionals: If static electricity grounding is required for the pipe racks in petrochemical systems, and it’s not possible to find the plant-wide static electricity grounding network at the grounding points, how should this issue be resolved?
Drive a set of grounding electrodes at the grounding point; as long as the grounding resistance value meets the requirements, it is acceptable
May I ask what the required resistance value for the grounding electrode is? How deep does it generally need to be chiseled to meet the requirements? Is 3.3 meters deep below the floor level sufficient?
It should not exceed 100 ohms, and the upper part of the grounding electrode should be 1 meter above the ground.
In a situation like this, how far apart should a set of grounding electrodes be placed? Can’t we just set up one grounding electrode?
