Based on the maintenance experience with explosion-proof air conditioners, it has been found that the following situations are the main causes of air conditioner failures, and they occur most frequently during actual maintenance. (1) The temperature sensors of the indoor heat exchanger coils have the highest failure rate; even when they are not damaged, the error rate detected by them is relatively high. Therefore, if you think it might be a sensor issue, you might as well check it and replace it. (2) Fluorine deficiency is also a common issue. After the air conditioner has been in operation for some time and enters protection mode, the first thing to check is whether the cooling performance is satisfactory. If it is not, it is necessary to measure the three pressures of the air conditioner: for cooling, the equilibrium pressure and low-pressure; for heating, the equilibrium pressure and high-pressure. (3) The issue of power supply voltage is also very prominent, especially during peak usage times. For a three-phase air conditioner that will not start, the first thing to check is the phase sequence. The key points in checking the power supply for air conditioners are whether the contacts (those of the air conditioner and the main power switch) are burned or corroded, whether there is poor contact, whether the internal contacts of the main power switch function properly and have sufficient current-carrying capacity, whether the main power cable is too long or too thin, and whether the voltage is below 200V. Whether the neutral wire and ground wire are mixed up, whether the phase wires of the three phases are mixed up with the neutral wire, etc. (4) Protection against high pressure, especially when heat dissipation outside the refrigeration unit is poor in summer. Compressor overload protection is common during the hot summer months and peak electricity usage periods. (5) The circuit of the remote control receiver and display board also suffers from frequent failures; voltage measurement and replacement are the best options. (6) For areas with poor environmental conditions. It is necessary to check for internal and external connections, as well as whether there are any areas where wires have been chewed through by rodents—this is a relatively common fault. Also, check whether the circuit boards and buttons have become damp. (7) The joints where the extended pipes and wires connect the indoor and outdoor units are also common sites for failures. It is required that wire joints be wrapped with waterproof insulating tape after welding, but some installers simply twist them together and cover them with ordinary tape. (8) Poor contact of the various connectors of the air conditioner is also one of the common causes of failures.
