I want to write an undergraduate thesis on the hydrogenation refining of naphtha. How should I get started? I’m seeking advice from experts; thank you:handshake

Papers should not be general in nature; that would be equivalent to popular science. A thesis needs to focus on one or two key points and make breakthroughs in those areas; only in this way can your understanding and insights, as well as your unique research direction, be demonstrated. Only by focusing on one specific point in your discussion during the thesis defense can you address the issue effectively; otherwise, if the professor asks a random question, you won’t be able to prepare for it. When writing focuses on one or two key points, the teacher will also delve deeply into those points, which makes it very easy for them to express approval and appreciation for you.
Hydrogenation is generally divided into two types. One is reforming, which involves purely chemical transformation of the product in order to create new products. The other type is desulfurization and denitrification, aimed at removing substances that are harmful to the environment. This is a current focus area; due to air pollution issues, desulfurization and denitrification will surely become key priorities for the existing chemical industry in the future. Previously, we focused solely on profit and emphasized quality improvement, which led to extremely severe environmental pollution. Hehe. . . Since the National Development and Reform Commission introduced a floor price, the profits generated by refined oil products in the petrochemical industry have been substantial. With profits come incentives, and thus the process of converting naphtha into gasoline began. A lot of unstable naphtha from coking processes was mixed with diesel and fed into hydroprocessing and refining units, where it was then blended in storage tanks to produce qualified gasoline grades such as 92, 95, and 98.
