Our company has one hydrogenation unit, 2 refining reactors, and 1 cracking reactor. If the feedstock enters the cracking reactor without being refined first, what impact will that have on the catalysts in the cracking reactor? Also, hydrorefining can remove sulfur, nitrogen, oxygen, and metals, but isn’t it still carried into the subsequent cracking reactor along with the feedstock? Once it turns into hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, etc., doesn’t it become non-toxic to the catalysts?
