The temperature in my workshop’s catalyst rises sharply during the passivation process, and injecting nitrogen doesn’t help – what should I do? I’m asking all the experts for advice! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Still overheating during passivation? Our catalyst is Topsoe’s and does not require passivation. If the fly-temperature cannot be controlled, perform emergency pressure relief and cooling to protect the catalyst! If the temperature is too high, it will melt and destroy the catalyst
If the temperature rises during the passivation process, it only proves that there is a problem with the raw materials! First, try to lower the temperature; if that doesn’t work, turn off the heating furnace. If the temperature continues to rise, the only option is to open the emergency pressure relief valve to release pressure!
The passivation process requires the use of a passivation oil that is at atmospheric pressure, free of unsaturated hydrocarbons, and produces little heat. After 6 hours of passivation, slowly adjust the raw material feeding operation.
When a cracking agent is used, strict attention must be paid to changes in bed temperature in the initial stage; the cold hydrogen control valve should be set to automatic mode to prevent excessive temperature rises due to carelessness
