For a natural gas-based hydrogen production plant, will not supplying hydrogen for one hour have any impact on the catalysts in the plant?
It should be fine. Many devices can operate normally in actual production without hydrogen. Look at the sulfur content in your natural gas feedstock; many imported liquefied natural gases have a very low sulfur content, as the desulfurization process is carried out during liquefaction.
It has little impact. I remember reading that hydrogen production from natural gas doesn’t necessarily require the use of hydrogen; but just to be safe, it’s better to include some.
No problem; some companies do produce them from hydrogenation reactors
