I would like to ask that when RDS diesel is introduced into the diesel hydroprocessing reactor, the temperature rise in the processing bed is very small – much lower than that observed when catalytic diesel was processed directly. Moreover, the sulfur content in the diesel produced by the entire diesel hydroprocessing unit increases significantly, sometimes even exceeding the allowable limits. Has anyone encountered such a situation?
RDS diesel: (residue hydrogenation) diesel. There are two reasons for no temperature rise – either the sulfur content is low, or the form of sulfur is not suitable for reactions with such catalysts! I personally lean towards the latter possibility!
Well, the latter is more likely, because the sulfur content in refined wood is very high
After the temperature rise decreases, what about the catalyst’s critical temperature? It dropped too?
The modified bed layers mean that the temperature rise in those two layers with cracking properties has decreased, and the sulfur content in the diesel has increased as well. After stopping the RDS feed, the temperature rise in these two layers still did not increase, but now there is a gradual trend toward recovery
How is it now? Has the reason been identified?
