Inorganic sulfur. Things like hydrogen sulfide, for example.
Alkaline washing can only remove thiolic sulfur from oils!
Hydrogen sulfide and small molecular thiol sulfides; alkali washing has little effect on desulfurization of thiols
Alkaline washing is primarily aimed at thiol compounds; of course, hydrogen sulfide can also be removed. Hydrogen sulfide causes the concentration of the alkaline solution to drop rapidly, so efforts are usually made to remove as much hydrogen sulfide as possible before carrying out the alkaline washing.
