The temperature of the overhead air cooler in the hydrogenation stripping desulfurization tower fluctuates irregularly, with variations of about 5°C. The steam is superheated steam; the temperature at the top of the tower is around 140°C, and it drops to 54 degrees Celsius after air cooling. The pressure at the top of the pressure tower is 0.6 MPa, and the pressure in the reflux tank is 0.55 MPa. The process goes from the gas desulfurization tower to air cooling (two units with variable frequency and two with fixed frequency), then to the water cooler, followed by the return tank, and finally backflow occurs. Do any of the seniors have similar experiences?
It is recommended to check whether the return valve operates for automatic reflux and whether the self-regulating feedback is functioning properly.
Check whether the temperature at the top of the tower also fluctuates; it might be related to the reflux at the tower top
There’s no problem with the control valve, and there are no fluctuations in the tower top temperature either. It is currently suspected that the air-cooling temperature is uneven; there may be an air blockage or water in the air-cooling tubes preventing proper condensation. Is this reasonable? ?
Possible options should be eliminated one by one on a rational basis; it’s best to identify the cause and address it. One can’t just doubt. See how many nodes are there to rule out possibilities.
There is a possibility of flow deviation; is the probability of such flow deviation in air cooling high? It has been in use for just 3 years, requiring minor repairs every year
