At the high-hydrogen cut-off point, the on-site magnetic flap matches the remote display. However, when raising the level, both the local reading and the remote reading increase very slowly. If the magnetic flap is removed to allow venting and then reinstalled, the level will change suddenly, with both the local and remote readings changing at the same time (sometimes they both reach the full scale). The same phenomenon occurs when lowering the level. What causes this?

This kind of delay also occurs in our system at high level thresholds. As for the reasons behind this, there is no clear answer yet. My speculation is that firstly, there are too many impurities in the interface; in the case of remote transmission using float level gauges, the floats may get stuck. Secondly, the temperature is low after air cooling, especially in winter, which reduces the density difference between oil and water, thereby diminishing the effectiveness of separating them and leading to malfunction in remote transmission. Thirdly, when injecting water at high levels, it is necessary to control the amount of scale and corrosion inhibitors added; excessive use can also result in incomplete separation of oil and water, with oil remaining in the water and causing foaming issues. These are just my personal opinions; I would appreciate it if professional experts could provide their guidance.
Using magnetic flip switches on-site isn’t very suitable for measuring liquid levels, is it?
First of all, are your on-site magnetic flap switches and remote transmission connected to the same outlet on the gauge? If so, the pipeline is blocked. Previously, the on-site liquid level in our cold high-pressure system was always significantly behind that of the remote unit; after investigation, it was found that the lower part of the on-site level gauge was blocked. Once it was cleaned, the lagging issue no longer occurred.
Will the on-site level gauge affect remote transmission? It seems that your level gauge is large enough as well; when it’s put into use, opening the valve will cause a certain impact on the liquid level, and the order in which operations are carried out also has an effect
