Dear experts, may I ask what THiPSA technology is? Aren’t they all purifications? Is it different from the PSA commonly referred to?
Variable temperature and voltage have been around for 20 years already. However, the name PSA wasn’t popular at that time. The feature of this technology is that it maximizes the adsorption and desorption capabilities of molecular sieves. The frequency of valve switching is much lower than that of conventional PSA.
PSA, or pressure swing adsorption, takes advantage of the difference in adsorption capacity of an adsorbent for different substances at the same pressure to separate impurities from the pure substance; it is a process of physical adsorption
A dual-high PSA separation technology that can achieve both high yield and high purity simultaneously
Basic characteristics of the process: 1) Overcoming the trade-off bottleneck between purity and yield in traditional PSA processes, achieving high-yield and high-purity recovery and separation; 2) THiPSA involves the recovery of the active components from the gas obtained by PSA desorption; its advantages are: a. reduction of the complex pretreatment steps required in traditional separation techniques ; b. Relative reduction in investment ; c. Reduce the PSA regeneration load, prevent cross-infection between adsorbents, and adjust the balance between adsorption and regeneration ; d. It effectively addresses the accumulation of impurities in the recycled gas from multi-stage PSA, preventing the reverse occurrence of adsorption concentration gradients ; e. Suitable for operating conditions where pressure on the product and exhaust gases is required, especially as the exhaust gas output pressure can be adjusted ; 3) When combined effectively with new adsorbents featuring an ultra-low dead space ratio, it is possible to **reduce the retention of active components in the dead space, decrease the number of pressure equalization processes, or eliminate the need for product hydrogen flushing or even evacuation, thereby achieving both high efficiency and high performance** ; 4) Feed gas conditions at the edge of the effective component range suitable for conventional PSA treatment. 5) It works particularly well in combination with multi-stage PSA processes, enabling segmented or concentration-based PSA
Is there any relevant material describing this? Could you share it? Thank you in advance.
