This winter could be another harsh one, and diesel fuel for winter use needs to have antifreeze additives added to meet **requirements. However, due to the raw materials, much of the diesel is paraffin-based, which makes it difficult to reduce its pour point. I’ve encountered such a situation here: the initial cold filter point was -3, while after adding additives it dropped to -5; the condensation point reached above -20. Currently, although the condensation point is very low, the cold filter point will not decrease. The amount of antifreeze added ranged from 200 PPm to a maximum of 700 PPM, but with no effect.
