Can a nitrogen backwash filter convert nitrogen into dry gas or fuel gas? Is that energy-saving?
It is acceptable to use a substitute gas that does not undergo a chemical reaction with the production materials.
It’s best not to change it! One cannot consider only the backwashing process; after shutting down, purging and displacement are required, and it must be done using nitrogen!
It can be changed; we already modified our original backwashing system, and the results were satisfactory. However, the nitrogen line remains in use for purging.
Technical upgrades are possible; the nitrogen line can be kept for purging in abnormal conditions. This can be done using fuel gas as the sealing gas. It belongs to energy-saving projects.
Does it feel like the fuel gas and dry gas have such high pressures after the change?
If the significant cost difference between nitrogen and dry gas is taken into account, it can be changed, but a nitrogen line should still be kept.

Have you changed your backwash to fuel gas? The fuel gas pressure should be lower than that of nitrogen; will the recoil effect have an impact?
